Biography
Bruno Ribeiro is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University, West Lafayette. Ribeiro’s current research focuses on data science and machine learning, more specifically, in analyzing and forecasting processes on complex networks, and performing approximate inference using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods. Ribeiro recently won the SIGMETRICS’16 best paper award for his work on characterizing competitions with rich-get-richer effects using generalized Polya urn processes.
